Description of the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Human Resourceswill oversee all HR Operations including employment law compliance and programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
This includes total rewards, performance management, compensation, leadership development, career progression and succession planning Responsibilities Program Development & HR Strategy Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of HR programs that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
This includes onboarding programs, career progression, performance management, compensation, leadership development, and succession planning.
Ensure successful deployment of growth strategy & business plan.
Performance, Compensation, and Total Rewards:
Oversee comprehensive performance appraisal systems, compensation, and total rewards programs.
Align initiatives with organizational objectives, market trends, and employee motivation factors.
Manage the administration and compliance of the company's 401(k) retirement plan and benefits programs.
Oversee strategy and implementation of benefits program renewals.
Performance Management & Employee Relations:
Foster strong relationships with management team and employees at all levels within the organization.
Coach, develop and provide actionable feedback to ensure optimum performance and ongoing development, and address difficult situations.
Employee Engagement:
Create, implement, and monitor initiatives aimed at promoting employee engagement.
Collaborate with the management team to foster a positive, inclusive, and highly engaging work environment.
Workers' Compensation, Safety & Leave Management:
Oversee workers' compensation programs & compliance; ensure timely reporting, return to work and resolution.
Oversee protected leave and ADA accommodation Develop, implement, and manage safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulations, reducing risk and ensuring a safe work environment.
Training & Development:
Supervise training programs to enhance employee skills, performance and ensure compliance.
Coordinate with department managers to identify training needs, design, implement and monitor programs.
Leverage both internal and external resources to deliver high-quality, impactful training that contributes to our employees' growth and our company's success.
Compliance & Process Optimization Stay ahead of changes to applicable employment regulations and HR compliance laws.
Ensure all of People Ops policies and procedures are in compliance and maintained current with state (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada) and federal regulations.
Align with industry best practices, ensure efficient and repeatable processes are in place to manage the day-to-day HR transactions associated with hiring, onboarding, employee changes and off-boarding.
Manage the development and submission of timely and accurate compliance reporting, actions and/or record administration to include, but not limited to EEO-1, Vet-100, 5500's, SPDs, I-9 records, ACA reporting, Harassment Prevention training, etc.
Partner with leadership to drive process improvements while ensuring the established processes meet the needs of business stakeholders and are easily executed.
Drive continuous improvement and leverage technology to increase efficiency and maintain a great user experience.
Establish systems, processes and tools to accurately track and report on labor related metrics (headcount, costs, etc.
).
Partner with Finance to ensure accurate headcount and labor cost reporting as needed.
Partner with Finance as needed to ensure compliant payroll processes are in place, ensure controls, delineation of duties and meet standard audit protocols.
Experience & Attributes Business degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required, MBA preferred PHR, SPHR or similar certification preferred 10
years of HR leadership experience assuring employment law compliance for multi-state workforce (Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada) Experience working for a private equity backed company supporting high growth strategy through M&A preferred Strong HR functional expertise:
knowledgeable in multi-state employment law matters and compliance management Deep understanding of workers' compensation processes and safety management Proficiency in 401(k) administration and federal regulations Proven track record in program development, compliance and employee engagement HR due diligence and M&A expertise required Extensive experience in managing performance, compensation, and benefits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic listening ability Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively Experience developing and managing HR policies and practices HRIS experience with understanding of HRIS systems design, HR reporting, workflow and auditing requirements.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
