Qualifications:
Current unencumbered Oregon CNA Level 1 or 2 certification required upon submission.
Healthcare provider level American Heart Association BLS required upon submission.
Reflect the general duties and responsibilities necessary to describe the principal functions of the job, as identified and shall not be considered an exhaustive list of job responsibilities Utilize knowledge of waste stream processes and appropriate disposal of surgical waste Perform various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Nursing Department policies and procedures Assist with the care of Surgery patients Ensure work areas and hallways Disinfecting operating rooms between cases Articulate department goals and metrics for first cases starts and turnover times and contribute ideas for improvement Adhere to all policies and procedures Cooperate as part of the multidisciplinary team by communicating pertinent patient information to the RN and completing assignments Demonstrate appropriate action in emergency situations, demonstrate awareness and control of hazards which may endanger patients, visitors and employees, identify and report environmental concerns to the management Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times Ensure disposal containers are correctly labeled to meet regulatory standards Voted Best Hospital and Best Workplace by the readers of the Beaumont Enterprise Utilize knowledge of cleaning protocols for all types of specialty surgical equipment Assist in providing services for the Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patient Assisting with positioning, and patient preparation for procedures Participate in performance improvement projects Organized in skills to assist team with safe and appropriate turnovers Participate as a member of the perioperative nursing team by transporting patients, maintaining operating room supply levels and sanitizing/disinfecting the operating rooms Demonstrate appropriate use of PPE, perform hand washing according to policy and enforce safety regulations Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Certified Nursing Assistant Communication Health Care Medical Emergency Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
