Position
Summary:
CSC is a government Community Action Agency.
We are 100% grant funded.
As such we need experienced accounting professionals to assist in grant monitoring and oversight.
The Accounting Analyst, working under the direction of the Finance Manager, provides customer service and support to CSC staff and agency partners.
The Accounting Analyst will be tasked with duties of and about budgetary financial analysis.
The position also follows financial policies and procedures and ensures compliance with grant guidelines.
Assists with overseeing and the preparation of the agency's operating budget; provides technical assistance to the Department Directors; helps maintain financial systems; assists in the preparation of annual financial statements and in the monitoring of agency funds.
Works under the general direction of the Finance Manager who provides general policy guidelines, assigns tasks, and evaluates performance.
Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position.
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of professional experience in financial management, budgeting, accounting, policy analysis, or research, preferably in a governmental or grant-based organization.
Experience with financial statements and audits is highly desired.
Bachelor's degree with major course work in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Additional education of one year may be substituted for one year of required experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
