263 Full-time position working in the Linn County Road Department ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Perform the following in road Right-of-Way and related duties:
Operate Herbicide Application Vehicle Control Vegetation Using Chemical, Mechanical, and Manual Means Use Computer & Associated Office Equipment & Computer Controlled Spray Unit Prepare Reports, Maintain Records of Herbicide Meeting Federal & State Regulations Coordinate with Division Supervisors for Herbicide Application Monitor Treated Areas for Quality Control Load, Handle, & Mix Chemicals & Other Materials Apply anti-icing agent to roadways.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Possession of a Commercial Driver's License Class A, Manual Transmission, Fifth Wheel, with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement, and an acceptable Driving Record Possession of a Public Herbicide Applicator License with a category of Right-of-Way issued through the Oregon Department of Agriculture, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
Graduation from high school or GED certificate and experience in vegetation management and maintenance, and repair of herbicide application equipment.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience operating motorized equipment or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described Will lift up to ninety (90) pounds; work in all types of weather See Classification for Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements COMPENSATION:
