Summary:
This position reports to the QA Manager at the Albany location.
They support management in various day to day tasks with reviewing product inventory for overall production needs at the facility.
Help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production runs.
Maintain spreadsheets for product inventory to ensure accurate forecasting of available product.
This individual must possess a strong commitment to accuracy, accountability, and integrity, be able to work independently and with other key cross-functional team members such as production, quality, maintenance, and sanitation to produce safe high-quality products.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Review Production Instructions (PI) to ensure bulk products are on inventory for current demand.
Review Production needs to ensure bulk products are on inventory for forecasted demands.
Review Product Formula Demand versus Inventory in NAV (located at National and Sno-Temp).
Assist in the Production/Packaging schedule / Confirm product is usable.
Assign product item numbers to production and packaging PIs Reconcile product consumption for facility Keep Product Formula Program update to date.
Communicate with Quality if a new supplier/item number is seen in inventory.
Communicate with the Purchasing Department product needs for the facility.
Communicate with Sister/Cousin company's product needs and request Purchase Orders be created by the purchasing department.
Confirm Purchase Orders are created in the system.
Research and Respond to questions asked by other departments and Sno-Temp.
Request other department(s) transfer product to National/Sno-Temp.
Provide communication with Sno-Temp when product needs held/cleared.
Review the E-Vista provided by Sno-Temp and provide a response.
Reviews incoming paperwork, document information, and release/hold product inventory as needed.
Maintains an open dialog with a cross-functional team.
Reviews and Updates Standard Operating Procedures.
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Follows quality and safety procedures for food, equipment, and personal safety.
Adheres to company practices and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
ABILITIES & SKILLS:
Working knowledge of food production and food safety.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and log information on documents/reports.
Ability to communicate in one-on-one situations and in small group situations with other employees of the organization.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
Knowledge of ingredients and food systems.
Effective team player, willing to contribute to the team.

Qualifications:
Prefer experience in food related industry/logistics.
Strong computer skills:
Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, oral, and written.
Current Driver's License WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed during the day in an office or production environment.
The noise level in the work area ranges from quiet to loud.
