Production Planner Scheduler


1. GENERAL SUMMARY (What does the position do?):
Implement the master production schedule, balancing support of PCT's Sales and Operations Plan and customer requirements.

2. MAJOR DUTIES (List duties in order of time spent on them, with the most first):
Utilizes master production schedule (MPS) to evaluate new and change order request from customer and develop commit dates striving to meet the customer requirement.
Scope: Can modify MPS Planner I and Planner II responsibility groups within the capacity limits designated by the MPS. Changes that exceed MPS limits require approval from Planning Supervisor.
Product Responsibility Group: New part implementation and existing production configurations complex in nature or involving value added outside processes coordination.
Communicate to customer and sales, new and changed shipping commitments and order status updates for Planner II product responsibility group.
Manage production job orders and work flow in cooperation with manufacturing to minimize resource bottleneck impact.
Coordinate with engineering, operations and supply chain to ensure on time delivery in a highly dynamic environment.
Provide visibility to organization regarding performance to manufacturing schedule and customer promises.
Effectively facilitate meetings in support of job duties.
Participate in production development / improvement teams to identify key issues and develop plans for implementation through production readiness.
Finalize monthly input schedule in support of MPS.
Support Bill of Material maintenance.
Maintain PCT systems data (ERP, Thruput Database, Scheduling System, etc.)
Provide support to Supervisor and Planner I, as necessary.
May be required to provide software implementation support.
Other assigned duties as necessary.

3. SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY (Degree to which position oversees the work of others)
None

4. NECESSARY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS (List those necessary to qualify for the position, and then list desirable skills)
5 or more years in manufacturing environment showing progressively more responsibility
3 or more years in planning position
Must be able to set aggressive goals and work independent of managerial direction
Ability to influence through leadership and communication skills
Able to communicate, both written and verbal, in a clear and effective manner
ERP Planning System/Software
Software implementation experience a plus.
Computer Skills:
MSExcel - Intermediate knowledge of functions and uses.
MSAccess - Basic understanding of relational databases and be able to query information from a database.
MSPowerPoint - Be able to create and use a power point presentation to communicate information to a group of individuals.


5. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS (List those necessary to qualify for the position, and then list desirables)
Minimum 4 years of college in business related curriculum or equivalent work experience
Completion of APICS CPIM training desired, required within 3 years of entry into position

6. JOB CONDITIONS (Travel, extensive overtime, evening meetings, on-call, etc.)
Work necessary hours to complete job requirements
Weekends as needed
Must be able to offer proof of US Citizenship or of Permanent Resident Alien upon hire.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
