Job Description
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to manage and collaborate with multiple internal resources within the Grace organization and external resources, including management of vendor relationships
- Detail oriented to identify inaccuracies and deficiencies and find solutions to them.
- Ability to quickly learn details of Grace s chemical processes and identify the impact of automation improvements on the cost, quality, and safety of the manufacturing operation.
- Ability to manage projects across the site and various functions
- Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strategic and tactical mindset with intent to develop strong business acumen to balance demands of dynamic business drivers versus plant needs
Required Experience
- BS in Engineering, or 15
years of related experience - Hands-on experience with DCS systems
- Prior experience with process automation including control systems, field instrumentation, and standards deployment in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3
years of technical experience in an industrial environment in positions such as operations/production/process engineer, I&E Department supervisor, or general supervising electrician.
Preferred Qualifications
- General Journeyman Electrician License (OR), or Limited Energy Technician License Class A/B, or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
- General Supervising Electrician License (OR), or Limited Supervising Electrician License (OR), or ability to obtain preferred
- Operations and project management experience in a PSM regulated industry preferred.
